Welcoming Day is a day when Welcoming Day activities are held in the family's home, seven days after the birth of the baby. The Officials have access to all of the data about the infant, including eye color, hair color, the infant's due date and arrival date as well as the family members.

At the ceremony, parents choose the child's first and last name. At which time the Official will type that information into their port and will let the parents visually confirm the name. It will appear above the child's assigned bar code.
